This post demonstrates how to get a free domain from Freenom. Freenom provides free domain name registration with TLDs (Top Level Domains) such as .tk, .ga, .ml, .cf etc.
Free domains work as normal domains and provide features like URL Forwarding, Free DNS Service or own Custom DNS (Name Servers). The difference between free domains & paid domains is, in free domains, the registrant works as a user of the domain, not as a licensee.
Remember, free domains are not recommended for professional website development because free domains & hosting are very unreliable & offer limited features on their plans. Hence, it is recommended to register a .com, .net, .org or country name TLD for any type of professional website development.
GoDaddy is the world’s largest registrar of domain names and provides domains at a cheaper price. NameCheap & BlueHost are some of the other domain registrars that offer cheap & reliable domain name registrations. NameCheap also offers free privacy protection in the form of “WhoisGuard” that protects customer’s personal information provided at the time of registration. Follow the links in the menu above to get the best available deal & discounts with these registrars.
